Charleston

A 1960s icon reimagined for modern driveability and serviceability.  This Series 88 was commissioned by a client of ours right in our hometown of Charleston SC.

HUE I66

The first-ever production Land Rover came off the line in 1948 and was assigned the HUE I66 number plate which started its journey to become the most iconic 4x4 ever produced. Fast forward 73 years and the “Hue I66” Land Rover has been reimagined by our team at our facility in South Carolina.

Hyannis

This 110 5 door is the vehicle for those who are drawn to the classic aesthetic of a Defender, but desire a more modern driving experience.  Inside you will find custom seats wrapped in tweed and chestnut leather.  Our insulation package was applied throughout the interior to reduce road noise and heat from intruding into the cab.  The floors were finished in acoustic carpet with rubber mats. A suede headliner and trim package finished off the interior giving it a nice warm feel.

Series IIA by HIMALAYA

Starting with a 1968 Series IIA, we replaced the original motor with a restored 200TDI turbo diesel.  A significant increase from the engine originally fitted into this body style. Disc brakes and power steering were added for safety and drivability along with a custom designed audio system discretely hidden in the center dash to preserve the spartan interior. From there, Taylor Stitch added the waxed canvas used on many of their highend products for the center console, shift boot and seats in a light beige that compliments the vintage Aga Blue exterior colorway perfectly.

Built only for the UK market the Defender Works V8 pays homage to the early high-powered engines in both the Series III Stage 1 V8 from 1979 and subsequent Defenders including the 50th Anniversary Edition, which are highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors today.

Inspired by Land Rovers 70th anniversary edition the team at HIMALAYA decided to "clone" this monumental build, but with a twist!  GM LS3 engine on a lowered sport tuned suspension...Here's to you Land Rover! To another 70 years!

Camel Trophy Defender 110

This truck stands as a testament to Land Rover’s timeless dedication to automotive excellence. The truck was built in 1983 and was part of the Camel Trophy Italian team that went on to win the 1984 race held in Brazil. Sandro Damiani and Giancarlo Barocelli of Italy drove this truck in the historic race almost 35 years ago. Today, the truck is fully operational with the 41,000 miles on the original engine and transmission and could still trek across the Trans-Amazonian highway, but will probably be best served as a showroom or collection center piece as a true representation of Land Rover’s ability to drive to the end of the world and back. The original Italian title is registered to Sandro Damiani and has since been translated into an American title ready to be signed over. A certified copy of the factory record, as well as the original Italian title with a ‘souvenir designation’ will be included. Call or email us today to find out more about this true one-off vehicle!
